New Era of the Office

What is an office without a cubicle? THIS ONE! I know…. It seems kind of weird for an office to not have cubicles but there’s a reason for this. Companies all over the world are starting to exclude because it would create a more social environment rather than secluding everyone to their own cubicle. You can look at another article published by SeattlePi which went over why companies were starting to abandon the cubicle right here: http://www.seattlepi.com/business/article/Office-life-without-cubicles-can-take-some-1253188.php

Now let’s get started on our tour through a renovated office!

A Poem For Mikasa

At my school, we were required to write several poems for English class because we are in a poetry unit right now. The inner weeb (anime fanatic) came out and I wrote a poem about my favorite anime character of all time…. MIKASA ACKERMAN! I hope you guys like it.

“A Girl Named Mikasa”

Ballad

As a young little girl,

Still as a daughter, was all alone.

She lost her parents,

And it seemed like she was on her own.

She was still the same girl,

Who watched her parents die.

But that was not the last time,

She would see death flash before her eyes.

No longer the frail and fragile girl,

She was hailed as a hero.

Eren, her love, was taken away from the world,

Then she went down to zero.

Now as a depressed girl,

She killed everything in her sight.

People believed she could get through this,

And thankfully she was right.

Back to the heroic girl,

Eren had come back to life.

Who knew this girl,

Could be so brutal with a knife.

While she is still the same girl,

And has suffered some losses and wins,

Her name,

Is Mikasa Ackerman.

I hope you guys liked it!

Tokyo Ghoul Episode 1 Summary and Review

Many of my friends have been talking a lot about this anime and have sung the opening to it. I myself have listened to TheIshter’s piano version of the opening and it was epic. Let’s get started on the review.

News of ghouls attacking the city started to arise and people started to get scared about going outside in fear of getting attacked. A building was infiltrated by a binge eater who ended up killing everyone on the same floor level. Meanwhile, the main character, Kaneki, was talking with his friend, Hide, at a coffee shop about a girl he had a crush on.

When the girl went into the restaurant Kaneki and Hide were inside trying to formulate a plan to get the girl to talk to him. This girl and Kaneki both decided they would have a dinner the night they met to get to know each other. Dinner finally came along and Kaneki tries to enjoy a nice meal.

The plates of food the girl ordered were untouched since the girl said she wasn’t very hungry. Both of them went outside to take a walk but it turned into something much different. Her eyes turned black with a red speck, she bursted out talking about her wanting to eat Kaneki, and she turned psychotic. Kaneki’s crush, Rize, was the binge eater who ate everyone in the building which was on the news.

CRAZY RIZE (That’s her name)

Kaneki’s life was almost at the end until of course (main characters cannot die), a construction zone falls on her killing Rize. They are both taken to the hospital where Rize had died but Kaneki was still alive. Since his organs were ruptured, they replaced his own organs with Rize’s. The next day, Kaneki woke up in the hospital bed with a weird feeling. He felt it was probably just because of the whole situation which had happened just a night ago which made him feel kind of weird. When he arrives home, he eats the food given from his best friend but gets a nauseous feeling in his stomach to immediately vomit it back up. Again, he tries some other food but wants to get it out of his system again. Just like Rize, Kaneki’s inner ghoul comes out but his human self tries to fight the desire of eating a human. A ghoul’s meal is human flesh but a human could never grasp the idea of eating a fellow human. Ghoul vs. Human. For a while, his inner ghoul took over his mind and he traced the scent of a human only to find another ghoul trying to feast on it. Then, Kaneki became human again which made him a target for the ghoul because the ghoul felt Kaneki trespassed his territory. Luckily, a waitress at Anteiku, the coffee shop, named Touka came across the sight of the ghoul who was bullying Kaneki. Touka counters saying the territory was Rize’s territory and it didn’t matter. Kaneki just stared with such a fearful expression after realizing he needed to eat a human in order to satisfy his hunger. Touka tries to make Kaneki eat but Kaneki’s human self refuses to. But Touka, as a ghoul herself, knew the pain a ghoul would experience without eating anything. The episode ended with Touka forcing a piece of human flesh right into Kaneki’s mouth. How nice huh?

Well there you have it! This is my summary but time to review the first episode.

Quite gory! It was very bloody and much more psychotic than what I’ve seen before. Whenever I think of gore, I think of Attack on Titan but Tokyo Ghoul may have been more bloody than Attack on Titan. The animation is quite average I’d have to say but that’s not a bad thing. In essence, it was a very bloody and gory way to kick off the first episode of Tokyo Ghoul. There seems to be the normal set of characters. Kaneki (the naive but ready to be awesome character) Touka (the introverted but coolest character) Hide (unaware of his best friend and is almost just a really small side character).
Anyways, thank you guys so much for reading this blog post. If you guys want me to do the same thing for season 2 of Attack on Titan, give this post a like and write a comment in the comments section. See you guys later!

Song of the Day

Finally something more current! Sort of? Well, it’s been a while since this song has been in the news but it has just been revived. Today’s song of the day is “Beauty and the Beast” in the movie, Beauty and the Beast. This year, there is a live-action remake starring Emma Watson as Belle. Ariana’s voice compliments this song so well especially in the beginning where she uses a rather soft tone. If you guys watch the music video, many people in the comments section like to critique Ariana’s role in singing this song but honestly, I love it a lot. John Legend played the male role in singing this song which was also good by I think I preferred Peabo Bryson a little bit more. I’ll be recommending Ariana Grande’s and John Legend’s version today. Soon, I’ll probably recommend the Celine Dion and Peabo Bryson version.

When I heard this for the first time, I had to keep on repeating Ariana’s part. It’s really good. For some of you older people (no shade), this may be nostalgic or a little bit hard to watch since the new generation has changed the style. But I just love this song. Check out this song! I know you won’t regret it.

Thank you guys so much for reading another one of my Song of the Day posts! If you guys have any recommendations of songs I should listen to, I’ll definitely try my best to reply and write a post on it. See you guys later!

Hello everyone! I’m back. It’s been a while since I’ve posted anything because so many things have been going on in my life. Moana Summary Part 1

Hello everyone! I haven’t blogged in a while but today is the day where the “no-blogging days” streak ends. Several days ago, I watched the Disney princess movie, Moana which is about a girl named Moana who goes beyond the boundaries of the island she resides on to save Motunui (the island she lives on).

For anyone who wants to watch this movie, I recommend read this after you watch the movie. But…… if you just want to read your way so that you get to engage in conversations with your friends or at school instead of watching the whole 113 minute video, then you’re at the right place! Since this is a movie and it’s quite long, I’m going to split this summary up into parts so it doesn’t crash my computer or your computer by how long it is!

Just warning you.

Attack on Titan Season 2 Trailer

Anyone here a Attack on Titan fan? Well if you are not, you do not know what you are missing. When I heard the news about Attack on Titan Season 2 finally coming out, I immediately went onto YouTube and typed in Attack on Titan Season 2. Whoever has been catching up with the series should know this anime has been on hiatus (a pause or a gap) for over 3 years now. I only found out about this phenomenal series about a year ago but since then, I am obsessed with this anime. I especially feel bad for those who have been waiting since the last episode of season 1 aired. This season seems much more focused around the titans than the actual humans itself which is a good thing since several of my friends always want to know more about the “villains”.. Hmmm……….. Is it so? Are the titans considered villains? In the trailer, the narrator reveals some of the titans were helping the whole time. Since I’ve scrolled through the YouTube comments section quite a lot, I’ve found out some spoilers from the manga which I wish I did not see. But since I want you guys to watch this anime, I won’t tell you guys anything. If anyone is interested in learning about the show or just want an overview about the whole show, I will link my blog posts down below for you guys to see.

Here’s the trailer:

Honestly, I cannot be more excited! This anime has kept all of us waiting and it’s about time they’ve released the trailer for this. Attack on Titan Season 2 is coming out in April, 2017. Thank you so much for reading this blog post. If you guys are excited and want to see more of these kinds of blog posts, leave a comment down in the comments section and give this a like. Merry Christmas Everyone

Hello everyone! It’s been quite a while since I’ve posted anything on my blog. Well…. What else can I say? Merry Christmas! Ever since 3rd grade at my school’s first ever Christmas Choir Pageant, my favorite holiday jingle is “All I Want For Christmas is You” by Mariah Carey. What a surprise huh? (sarcasm) Overall, this song is one of the only modern Christmas songs out there. Not many singers can say they have a Christmas classic, but Mariah sure can!

Fun Fact: Every time the holiday season is approaching, this song rises in views. Don’t believe me? Here’s a chart:

“All I Want For Christmas is You” Video Statistics

I remember seeing “We Belong Together” surpass “All I Want For Christmas is You” in view count but this song immediately drifted up in music views. Overall, I just hope you guys enjoy this holiday jingle and celebrate Christmas with it.

MERRY CHRISTMAS!

PS: I’ll be posting a review of “Moana” soon.

Song of the Day

My my my. If it isn’t another Song of the Day. Well! Mariah Carey takes it this time again with one of her older songs, Whenever You Call. This song is just brilliant. So much emotion poured into this song and power which could even rival Whitney’s.

Some of you guys may not be familiar with Mariah Carey. Rolling Stone classified her as one of the top 100 singers of all time which is a huge accomplishment. She has an astonishing 5 octave vocal range which still remains one of the largest in music history. I really hope you guys listen to this song. Anyways, do you guys have any recommendations? Put it down in the comments down below!

Song of the Day

How many of you guys grew up with Disney? Well as a 00’s kid, I didn’t get to experience many of the classics Disney had to offer. But I sure did watch Mulan. The seen where the leader of the Huns gets pinned down by Mulan and gets shot with a bunch of fireworks have probably been replayed 100 times on my TV screen since I loved this movie so much. Today’s song of the day is, Reflection.

As I was looking down my recommended videos on YouTube, I stumbled upon MsMojo’s list of Top 10 Disney Princess Songs. Reflection took the number 3 spot which was well deserved. During my toddler days, I did not appreciate the actual emotion put into each of these songs but now, things have changed. In the video, Mulan is realizing the conflicts in her mind on whether she wants to live life how she wants to or obey traditional family lifestyles. Just this song already touched me more than the Patriot movie which was about the American Revolution. I really hope you guys listen to this song because it will just bring back nostalgia of your childhood or even teach you more about Disney songs!

Like what you saw! Have any song recommendations for me to listen to? Any different topics you want me to write about? Put it in the comments section down below! How to see you later! Bye!
